Bassist/vocalist Robert Wilson of The Gap Band, 53, died of a heart attack in his Palmdale, California home on Aug. 15th. During the decade, the Gap Band released 8 studio albums and were a mainstay on the U.S. R&B charts with three #1's ("Burn Rubber On Me (Why You Wanna Hurt Me)," "Early In The Morning" and "Outstanding".)
