Glee Cast's Glee: The Music Vol. 3: Showstoppers debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Carole King & James Taylor's Live At The Troubadour climbed 2 spots to #9. AC/DC's Iron Man 2 soundtrack fell 5 places to #14. Widespread Panic's Dirty Side Down debuted at #27. Wynonna's Love Heals debuted at #32. Glee Cast's Glee: The Music: The Power Of Madonna dropped 15 spots to #36.
George Strait's "I Gotta Get To You" dropped 3 places to #73 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

A new My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult retrospective is on the way via Rustblade entitled Sinister Whisperz - Volume One: The Wax Trax Years (1987-1991). The double-CD set includes the previously-unreleased track "Satana Rising."
D.N.A., a new CD/DVD compilation of John Foxx's collaborations with some of his favorite film-makers, has been released.
Yazoo will release their live double-album, Reconnected Live, on Sept. 27th which was recorded live during their Summer 2008 reunion tour.
California Republican senatorial candidate Chuck DeVore lost his court battle with Don Henley over his parodied versions of "All She Wants To Do Is Dance" and "The Boys Of Summer" which he used in YouTube campaign videos. The judge ruled that DeVore's mock versions of the songs exceeded the rights of fair use and that the copyrights were infringed upon. While many artists have sued politicians for using songs without their permission, this is the first case over a parody of the song.
While recovering from his battle against cancer, Adam "MCA" Yauch has kept busy with a new documentary to be released through his Oscilloscope Laboratories entitled William S. Burroughs: A Man Within expected to hit U.S. theaters in the fall.
Former Dio and current Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell has taken on new duties playing for Thin Lizzy in 2011. The band will play a memorial show on June 4th, which marks the 25th anniversary of Phil Lynott's death, prior to a U.K. tour.
Cheap Trick will return with their Sgt. Pepper Live shows for a limited engagement beginning June 11th at Paris Las Vegas.
The earliest Metallica recording has surfaced on YouTube. The song, "Hit The Lights," was recorded in late 1982 and was played for Brian Stagle's Metal Blade Records to promoted a local compilation called Metal Massacre I. The band's line-up at the time was Mustaine, Ulrich, Hetfield and McGovney.

A new book on guitarist Randy Rhoads is in the works entitled You Can't Kill Rock & Roll.
Steven Tyler's autobiography, Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?, will be published in November via Ecco (and imprint of HarperCollins.)
Top Fuel Records has announced that they will release a Stephen Pearcy/Erik Ferentinos compilation with new songs. Also a live Rat Bastards tour DVD is in the works.
According to WENN.com, Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh has filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court to get a restraining order placed on his neighbor Nassar Adhoot. Adhoot allegedly trespassed on his property in May and attacked Walsh's personal assistant with a block of wood -- threatening to kill Walsh. Adhoot has approached several of the guitarist's staff and wife.
Bad Religion have announced plans to head into the studio to record their next album.
Anthrax's Scott Ian has a new project with members of Every Time I Die and Fall Out Boy called The Damned Things. They've launched a MySpace page where you can hear a couple of rough mixes from their forthcoming debut album.
Ministry has released, "Thunderstruck," their first new single in nearly 2 years via Cleopatra Records. The song is a cover of the AC/DC single and is available now via iTunes. A full-length new studio album by Ministry is due out later this year.

Skid Row have contributed their song, "Light The Fires, Let's Go," to the 10-track compilation, Go Fast: The Official Music Of The NHRA, which is now available at iTunes.
Expect to see a series of remastered live albums by Legacy Recordings hit the stores starting July 13th under the title Setlist. Judas Priest, Kansas, Quiet Riot, REO Speedwagon, Ted Nugent, Cheap Trick, Blue Oyster Cult and Jefferson Airplane are among the first releases.
Death metal act Autopsy have announced they will reunite permanently (after the announcement that splinter group Abscess announced their split.) Plans are to release a new EP, The Tomb Within, in August and new album Macabre Eternal next year.
Ian Astbury of The Cult has teamed up with Japanese act Boris for a new 4-track mini-album to be titled BXI when released in September. One of the tracks is a cover of The Cult hit "Rain." Astbury appeared with the band at the Vivid Festival in Sydney last weekend.
Randy Bachman and Fred Turner (of Bachman-Turner Overdrive) released, "Rollin' Along," their first new single in two decades. It is also streaming on their http://www.bachmanandturner.com as a preview of what to expect from their new album due out Sept. 7th. Also available at the site is a free download of "Rock N' Roll Is The Only Way Out."
Modern English have announced that they will be celebrating their 31st anniversary, on tour behind the recently released album Soundtrack, by reuniting their original line-up for North American tour dates.
Steve Winwood releases his new 17-track retrospective, Revolutions -- The Very Best Of Steve Winwood, on June 8th as well as a 4-volume box set.
Monkees drummer/vocalist Micky Dolenz will release his new studio album, King For A Day, on Aug. 24th. The 15-track set pays tribute to Carole King, who penned his band's hit "Pleasant Valley Sunday." Bill Medley makes a guest appearance on The Righteous Brothers' "Just Once In My Life."
Production has resumed on Bret Michaels' new VH1 docu-reality series, Life As I Know It, with new installments to air this fall. The singer's tour has started and his new album, Custom Built, hits stores on July 6th.
Former 2 Live Crew leader Luther Campbell performed during the taping of the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors: The Dirty South on June 3rd. Campbell later performed on a few songs early in the show and later on versions of "Me So Horny" and "Banned In The USA." The event will air on VH1 on Monday.
Dr. Dre will be presented with the ASCAP Founders Award during their 23rd annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards on June 25th in Los Angeles. The award is given to songwriters and composers whose musical legacies have inspired and influenced fellow music creators.
Joe Jackson and Gary, Indiana officials announced on Wednesday that work on a $300 million museum and arts center dedicated to Michael Jackson could begin next year.
Temptations vocalist Ali-Ollie Woodson [born Ollie Creggett], 58, died on Sunday in southern California after a long battle with throat cancer and leukemia. Woodson joined the Motown group in 1984 replacing Dennis Edwards as the lead vocalist from '84-'87 and rejoined the band in 1989 and stayed until 1996 when health issues got in the way. The band scored several hits during this time period but notably scored a top 10 U.S. hit with Rod Stewart on "The Motown Song."
After the success of Michael Franti & Spearhead's single "Say Hey (I Love You)," the band have signed to a new label (EMI) and have a new studio album, The Sound Of Sunshine, due out this summer. They've also released their new single, "Shake It," featuring Jamaican dancehall artist Lady Saw and plan to release the album's title track on June 8th.
Spandau Ballet's 1983 album, True, and 1984's Parade will be released in remastered versions plus bonus tracks and DVD on June 21st in the U.K. via EMI Records.
Bruce Springsteen's London Calling: Live In Hyde Park will be released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on June 22nd. The 172-minute film documents 27 tracks Springsteen played during the Hard Rock Calling Festival in June of 2009.
Accept will release their new studio album, Blood Of The Nations, on Sept. 14th (and Aug. 20th in Europe.) The album is their first with vocalist Mark Tornillo (formerly of TT-Quick.)
