Carole King & James Taylor's Live At The Troubadour dropped 6 spots to #13. AC/DC's Iron Man 2 soundtrack fell 13 places to #32. Glee Cast's Glee: Season One: The Music Vol. 1 dropped 3 spots to #37.

Former Bachman-Turner Overdrive guitarist Tim Bachman, 58, has been charged with sexual interference of a person under 14 years, touching a young person for sexual purpose and sexual assault according to Abbotsford police. The crimes allegedly occurred between 2000 and 2002 when the woman involved would have been between 11 and 14 years old. Bachman had been living in Abbotsford for the last decade and he knew the victim who approached the police in March 2009. An investigation went on for 11 months and Bachman turned himself in on May 6th after a warrant was issued. His lawyer appeared in court on Monday and no statement has been released by the guitarist. Bachman is scheduled to appear in court on July 5th.

So, publisher Simon & Schuster have quite a big book on their hands. Roses & Thorns, Bret Michael's autobiography, was due out June 23rd of 2009. Then Michaels had an incident at the Tony Awards... so they pushed it back. Then he has a brain hemmorrhage... so they pushed it back again. Each of these areas will be detailed in the new book which Michaels hopes is out before the end of the year.

Ronnie Milsap's hit, "Smoky Mountain Rain," has won a competition to become Tennessee's new state song. The state has had 7 previous official state songs but the song mentions the state's Knoxville and Gatlinburg in its homage to the Great Smoky Mountains. The song was a #24 hit in 1980 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and a #1 hit on the Billboard Country Singles chart.
Dee Snider, Billy Sheehan, Carlos Cavazo, Andreas Kisser, Brad Gillis, Brett Scallions, David Johansen and Frankie Banali have guest appearances on the recently released compilation Harder & Heavier: '60s British Invasion Goes Metal.

Whitesnake are exploring their options on bass as both bassist Uriah Duffy and drummer Chris Frazier have amicably departed to work on other projects. Drummer/vocalist Brian Tichy has joined the group in the studio to write and record their follow-up to Good To Be Bad. The new album is due out via Frontiers Records next spring.

Country star Jimmy Dean, 81, died in his Henrico County, Virginia home on Sunday. His wife told the Associated Press that, despite some health problems, he was doing well which made his passing that much more of a shock. She had just left the room where Dean was eating in front of the television and upon returning found him unresponsive. He scored his first top 10 country hit in 1952 and went on to score 2 #1's and release 32 studio albums. His last hit single was a re-recording of "I.O.U." in 1983. Dean was also known as an entrepreneur for launching Jimmy Dean Meat Co. in 1969 which he sold to Sara Lee Corp. in 1984.
Former Parliament-Funkadelic guitarist/vocalist Garry Marshall Shider, 56, died on June 16th after a brief battle with cancer. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member suffered from stroke-like symptoms in March and was later diagnosed with brain and lung cancer. During the 80s, Shider recorded albums with Parliament, Funkadelic, George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Incorporated Thang Band. During the last two years, Shider had been working as a composer for albums by Pitbull and Röyksopp.
German metal act Doro will release a double-DVD/CD set entitled 25 Years In Rock in November. Included in the DVD footage are their 25th anniversary concert in Dusseldorf, a special in China and outtakes from her 2,500th performance.
