The classic 18th century smuggling story has appeared as a film and two television series and now comes as an album. The 'other stories' are 6 additional tracks at the end of the disc.

Squeeze release their 14-track re-recorded greatest hits compilation, Spot The Difference, on Oct. 11th. The album is an attempt by songwriters Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook to regain ownership of their catalogue after seeing their music used in commercials without their permission. They tried to produce the tracks as close to the originals as possible (hence the title) using the original instruments... including vocalist Paul Carrack on "Tempted."

The 2008 reunion by The Specials for tour dates has led to something more... a possible new album. Vocalist Terry Hall told BBC6, "We think going forward is a healthy thing to do. We've discussed things that will take us on a slightly different route. It will be different to what we've done, just because it has to be really, because we can't keep doing the same set."
According to CMT, Bret Michaels will release a contemporary country-Americana album later this year or early next year under the tentative title Bret Michaels: Once A Cowboy, Always A Cowboy. It also seems that he's working on another reality show (other than his Life As I Know It premiering Oct. 18th) entitled Rock Of Love Boat which would show Michaels as a 'love guru' to couples on a cruise ship that are trying to work on their relationships. Meanwhile, VH1 plan to premiere Behind The Music Remastered: Poison on Oct. 16th which will feature never-before-seen interviews and footage.
David "Rock" Feinstein will release his new solo album, Bitten By The Beast, via Niji Entertainment Group on Nov. 23rd. The disc includes one of the last-ever recorded vocals by Ronnie James Dio on the song "Metal Will Never Die." Feinstein is Dio's cousin and they were both in The Electric Elves, Elf and Ronnie Dio & The Prophets together.
Black Sabbath will see their 1986 album, Seventh Star, and 1987's Eternal Idol reissued in deluxe versions in the U.K. in October. Deep Purple vocalist Glenn Hughes sang on Seventh Star and Tony Martin sang on Eternal Idol. As bonuses to both discs will be the long-awaited debut of the Ray Gillen recordings. Gillen joined during the tour behind Seventh Star and left before the completion of Eternal Idol to form Badlands. The Seventh Star reissue will include a second disc of Ray Gillen performing during that promotional tour and Eternal Idol will have the original Gillen recordings as a bonus disc.
