Jerry Lee Lewis' Mean Old Man debuted at #30 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Goo Goo Dolls' Something For The Rest Of Us fell 26 places to #33. Heart's Red Velvet Car dropped 26 spots to #36.
"As She's Walking Away" by the Zac Brown Band featuring Alan Jackson climbed 6 spots to #72 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
James' The Morning After debuted at #19 on the U.K. Albums chart. Tom Jones' Praise & Blame climbed 17 spots to #23. Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite climbed 8 places to #24. Iron Maiden's The Final Frontier dropped 11 spots to #29.
Neil Young has released his new video for "Angry World" off his new studio album, Le Noise, due out on Sept. 28th.

Reuters reports that a judge has ruled against Bob Marley's family in their lawsuit against Universal Music Group for the rights over 5 of the singer's most enduring albums. The family filed the suit after UMG licensed Marley's music for ringtones without first consulting the family.
Elvis Costello plans to release his new studio album, National Ransom, on Nov. 2nd which features guest appearances by Leon Russell and Vince Gill.
Delerium will release an acoustic collection, Voice, on Oct. 5th via Nettwerk. The set will have acoustic versions of many of their hits as well as feature 3 new songs.

Chris De Burgh plans to release his new studio album, Moonfleet And Other Stories, on Oct. 18th in the U.K. (as well as Oct. 15th in Ireland and Oct. 22nd in Germany.) The classic 18th century smuggling story has appeared as a film and two television series and now comes as an album. The 'other stories' are 6 additional tracks at the end of the disc.
Former UB40 vocalist Ali Campbell will release, Great British Songs, a collection of reggae versions of songs by Roxy Music, Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Beatles, The Hollies, The Who, Free and Gerry Rafferty in the U.K. on Oct. 11th.
Yaz plan to make, "Get Set," an unreleased 1983 track originally recorded for the BBC Children's TV series Get Set For Summer, available as a bonus track via iTunes for those ordering their live double-CD Reconnected Live. The album is due out Sept. 28th.
Curiosity Killed The Cat's 1987 album, Keep Your Distance, will be reissued on Sept. 19th in the U.K. with 7 bonus tracks.

Micheal Jackson's mother Kathleen has filed a "wrongful death" lawsuit against touring company AEG claiming "actions and inactions" were the cause of her son's death.

Helloween have announced that they will release their 13th studio album, 7 Sinners, via The End Records on Nov. 9th.
Squeeze release their 14-track re-recorded greatest hits compilation, Spot The Difference, on Oct. 11th. The album is an attempt by songwriters Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook to regain ownership of their catalogue after seeing their music used in commercials without their permission. They tried to produce the tracks as close to the originals as possible (hence the title) using the original instruments... including vocalist Paul Carrack on "Tempted."
Faith No More's reunion will end after their Dec. 5th concert in Santiago, Chile but a live DVD is expected to be filmed at the show.
R.E.M. release their new live DVD, R.E.M. Live From Austin, TX, in October containing 17 songs they performed on Austin City Limits in 2008. The band are currently mixing their new studio album for release early next year.
Alice Cooper will release his 7th long-form video, Theatre Of Death, via Bigger Picture Group on Sept. 28th. The event was filmed at London's Hammersmith Apollo during the tour's last 2009 date.
Urge Overkill are prepping their first new studio album in 15 years and are offering their new song, "Effigy," as a free download via Spin.com to excite fans.
The 2008 reunion by The Specials for tour dates has led to something more... a possible new album. Vocalist Terry Hall told BBC6, "We think going forward is a healthy thing to do. We've discussed things that will take us on a slightly different route. It will be different to what we've done, just because it has to be really, because we can't keep doing the same set."
Gang Of Four will release, Content, their first new album in 16 years on Jan. 25th. The recording costs have been paid for entirely by fan donations online.
According to CMT, Bret Michaels will release a contemporary country-Americana album later this year or early next year under the tentative title Bret Michaels: Once A Cowboy, Always A Cowboy. It also seems that he's working on another reality show (other than his Life As I Know It premiering Oct. 18th) entitled Rock Of Love Boat which would show Michaels as a 'love guru' to couples on a cruise ship that are trying to work on their relationships. Meanwhile, VH1 plan to premiere Behind The Music Remastered: Poison on Oct. 16th which will feature never-before-seen interviews and footage.
Testament have studio time booked at the end of the year to record their follow-up to The Formation Of Damnation expected out in the middle of next year.

Merle Haggard, 73, has been forced to cancel his September concerts due to a chest infection according to his publicist Tresa Redburn. Haggard has been out promoting his latest album, I Am What I Am.
Liverpool act The Icicle Works will reform for their 30th Anniversary Tour in the U.K. in the spring. The group split up in 1988 despite a 1990 album being released by frontman Ian McNabb with session players.
David "Rock" Feinstein will release his new solo album, Bitten By The Beast, via Niji Entertainment Group on Nov. 23rd. The disc includes one of the last-ever recorded vocals by Ronnie James Dio on the song "Metal Will Never Die." Feinstein is Dio's cousin and they were both in The Electric Elves, Elf and Ronnie Dio & The Prophets together.
Black Sabbath will see their 1986 album, Seventh Star, and 1987's Eternal Idol reissued in deluxe versions in the U.K. in October. Deep Purple vocalist Glenn Hughes sang on Seventh Star and Tony Martin sang on Eternal Idol. As bonuses to both discs will be the long-awaited debut of the Ray Gillen recordings. Gillen joined during the tour behind Seventh Star and left before the completion of Eternal Idol to form Badlands. The Seventh Star reissue will include a second disc of Ray Gillen performing during that promotional tour and Eternal Idol will have the original Gillen recordings as a bonus disc.

Stryper have released, "Heaven And Hell," as the first single from their upcoming album, The Covering, via iTunes. Produced by Michael Sweet, the album covers songs by Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Kansas and many others. The Covering is tentatively scheduled for release on Oct. 13th via Big3 Records/Sony.

GWAR will release their new studio album, Bloody Pit Of Horror, via Metal Blade Records on Nov. 9th.
Quiet Riot are back in business after hiring vocalist Mark Huff and bringing back former members Chuck Wright (on bass) and Alex Grossi (on guitar) for an upcoming tour. After the death of band co-founder Kevin DuBrow, drummer Frankie Banali was going through the vaults of video material for an upcoming documentary and felt the spark reignite once more for the band.
The Dan Reed Network's first recording, 1986's 6-track Breathless EP, will be reissued next week. The set includes their "Steal Me" single. Meanwhile, Dan Reed recently released his new solo album, Coming Up For Air.
Dutch soul singer Big John Russell, 67, died on Sunday in his hometown of Leusden. He had several hit singles in the 1970s and released "Hokie Pokie (All Over The World)" and "Higher Higher" as singles during the 1980s.
Montserratian soca musician Arrow [born Alphonsus Cassell], 60, died of pneumonia caused by complications of brain cancer on Wednesday. Arrow was best known for his 1983 U.K. hit, "Hot Hot Hot," which would be covered in 1987 by Buster Poindexter (which went to #45.) Arrow's version would resurface in 1994 in a World Carnival Mix and go to #38 in the U.K. Arrow released 9 albums during the 1980s.
