Gary Wright will release, Connected, his first all-new studio album in over 20 years on June 8th. The album includes guest appearances by Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh and the late George Harrison. Meanwhile, Wright's classic hit, "Dreamweaver," will be featured prominently in the May 18th episode of Glee and the upcoming film Toy Story 3.
Former Toto vocalist Bobby Kimball, Yes keyboardist Tony Kaye and former Yes bassist/producer Billy Sherwood have formed a new act named Yoso with guitarist Jimmy Haun and drummer Jimmy Cortez. They've recorded their debut album and are now signed with 2 Plus Music & Entertainment management company.
Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson will end his 8-year run on the Friday Rock Show on BBC 6 in the U.K. on May 28th.
According to drummer Chad Smith, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have about 20 new songs to go into the studio with in July. Producer Rick Rubin will helm their follow-up to 2006's Stadium Arcadium which will feature new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.
The Goo Goo Dolls will release their ninth studio album, Something For The Rest Of Us, in late June/early July followed by a North American tour. The band see the album as being a little bit darker but containing a bit more substance than some of the radio friendly music on the radio today.
A new career retrospective, Revolutions: The Very Best Of Steve Winwood, is on the way on June 8th via Island Records/UMe. The set will be available in 4-CD and single disc versions that include a re-recorded version of his 1980 song "Spanish Dancer."
Former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett will release a new solo album, Out Of The Tunnel's Mouth, via InsideOut Music on June 8th. Kajagoogoo's Nick Beggs will join Hackett's band on bass/chapman stick/vocals during their upcoming North American tour.
Despite several well-received shows (including Coachella), Mike Patton has said that a new Faith No More album doesn't look to be 'in the cards right now.'

If there was ever an episode of Live From Daryl's House to catch, you'll want to see the one debuting on May 15th. Daryl Hall will be joined by several former members of Hall & Oates as they celebrate late bassist and longtime musical director T-Bone Wolk, 58, who passed away on Feb. 27th.

The floodwaters that have overrun Nashville have affected the 'White House' of country music... The Grand Ole Opry. 4 to 6 feet of water from weekend storms flooded the site and it is expected that historic items from costumes, audio, instruments, manuscripts and boots have been ruined by the waters entering the 85 year-old Opry.
Mark Knopfler, Eddi Reader and Bruce Woolley are among the artists making guest appearances on Thomas Dolby's A Map Of The Floating City -- is first new album in nearly two decades. The album, which has 3 sections: Amerikana, Oceanea and Urbanoia, will be released in segments starting with Amerikana on June 12th to members of his Flat Earth Society at ThomasDolby.com. Hopes are to have all 3 sections out before the end of the year.
Huey Lewis And The News have been busy working on their ninth studio album, a tribute to Stax Records. Those same recording commitments have forced the cancelation of the band's first Australian tour in over two decades.
Poison frontman Bret Michaels, 47, was released from the hospital after nearly two weeks following a subarachnoid hemorrhage. He was moved to a physical rehabilitation facility last week and he's expected to deal with severe pain for another week or more as the blood pooled under his brain dissolves.

According to a recent interview with Billboard.com, Dave Wakeling has 17 demos ready with his latest incarnation of the English Beat that could be recorded and released sometime soon. He's been talking to record labels and weighing their offers with releasing them independently themselves. Also up for consideration is releasing EPs rather than albums that would mix new songs with live and acoustic tracks.

Culture Club's Roy Hay, The Tubes' Fee Waybill, Midnight Oil's Bones Hillman, The Mary Jane Girls and Deon Estus join Boys Don't Cry for the 80's All-Star Party in Agoura Hills, California, at The Canyon Club on June 12th. The event will be hosted by legendary MTV VJ Martha Quinn and benefit Malibu High School and Juan Cabrillo Elementary.
A new 42-track collection, INXS: Platinum Greatest Hits, has been released in the U.K. and Europe via iTunes. The set includes 16 of their hit studio recordings and the rest are live tracks.
Heaven & Hell have released a statement. "We have to announce that all forthcoming Heaven & Hell European shows have been cancelled as sadly [vocalist] Ronnie [James Dio, who has been fighting stomach cancer since November] isn't well enough to tour this summer. We hope that everyone understands and want to thank fans and industry colleagues for their continuing support at this time." The band do plan to release a 30th anniversary Heaven And Hell DVD sometime this year.
Gloria and Emilio Estefan received the key to the city of Las Vegas on Thursday from Mayor Oscar Goodman. The couple will also be honored with a star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars with theirs being placed outside the MGM Grand resort.

Keith Emerson and Greg Lake have been playing dates together and writing new music. They expect a full ELP reunion with Carl Palmer this summer. Hopes are to keep touring and possibly record some new material.
Drummer Jason Bonham has cleared the air about his Led Zeppelin Experience tour in North America. The plan is to play 30 shows in memory of his father John as it will be the 30th anniversary of his passing on Sept. 25th.
Billboard.com reports that Neil Young has been recording a new studio album in Los Angeles with producer Daniel Lanois. Young is just about to begin a solo North American tour.
