Former Bachman-Turner Overdrive guitarist Tim Bachman, 58, has been charged with sexual interference of a person under 14 years, touching a young person for sexual purpose and sexual assault according to Abbotsford police. The crimes allegedly occurred between 2000 and 2002 when the woman involved would have been between 11 and 14 years old. Bachman had been living in Abbotsford for the last decade and he knew the victim who approached the police in March 2009. An investigation went on for 11 months and Bachman turned himself in on May 6th after a warrant was issued. His lawyer appeared in court on Monday and no statement has been released by the guitarist. Bachman is scheduled to appear in court on July 5th.
