The earliest Metallica recording has surfaced on YouTube. The song, "Hit The Lights," was recorded in late 1982 and was played for Brian Stagle's Metal Blade Records to promoted a local compilation called Metal Massacre I. The band's line-up at the time was Mustaine, Ulrich, Hetfield and McGovney.
