Yes, it was probably the worst-kept secret but Fox television has announced that Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez will be joining Randy Jackson as judges on American Idol. One of the lesser-mentioned changes has been a shift away from bringing in mentors and allowing artists to stay within their preferred genre. So you may be hearing less than normal about the show here unless it is something to do with Tyler. Meanwhile, Tyler will release his first solo single, "Love Lies," in Japan on Nov. 24th. The track is the theme song for the live-action film version of the Space Battleship Yamato anime franchise.
