Bassist Marvin Isley of the Isley Brothers, 56, died from undisclosed causes in Chicago on June 6th. Isley was with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-inducted group and co-wrote several hits with the them before he left in 1984 with brother Ernie and brother-in-law Chris Jasper to form Isley-Jasper-Isley. He returned to the band in 1991 but the act has been on hiatus since 1997.
