It seems that a new Beach Boys film project has been picked up and is in development. No, it's not a biopic or documentary but something more akin to Mama Mia! with a story built around the group's hits. Usually, something like this surfacing wouldn't be that noteworthy until it started filming but it seems that Fox 2000 paid a hefty sum for the rights to the project in a bidding war.
