Blues, R&B and jazz tenor saxophonist Ed Wiley, Jr., 80, died in Garner, North Carolina, after being injured from a fall. Wiley worked with many renowned Texas bluesmen early in his career which would see him touching on many genres. Entering into the 1980s, Wiley had focused on his family only playing in church on Sundays. He would release the gospel album, My Tribute, in 1980 which would include contributions by his wife and two eldest sons. He would continue to release a few gospel albums here and there afterward.
