California Republican senatorial candidate Chuck DeVore lost his court battle with Don Henley over his parodied versions of "All She Wants To Do Is Dance" and "The Boys Of Summer" which he used in YouTube campaign videos. The judge ruled that DeVore's mock versions of the songs exceeded the rights of fair use and that the copyrights were infringed upon. While many artists have sued politicians for using songs without their permission, this is the first case over a parody of the song.
