Billy Joel underwent a double hip replacement surgery last week at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.  The performer had been suffering from chronic hip problems for several years.  According to his spokesperson, "Billy Joel is doing extremely well following bilateral hip replacement."  Joel is hoping that, with his new hips, he will be allowed to get back to performing on the road.
