According to a recent interview with Billboard.com, Dave Wakeling has 17 demos ready with his latest incarnation of the English Beat that could be recorded and released sometime soon. He's been talking to record labels and weighing their offers with releasing them independently themselves. Also up for consideration is releasing EPs rather than albums that would mix new songs with live and acoustic tracks.
